LocationTool appears to be a very interesting application. It allows one to know latitude, longitude and time zone of towns or cities all around the world.
It has a very simple interface that consists of only one window. This window includes search fields, a list with search results and the world map. The application allows to search by city name or by its position on the map. In the first case you should type the name of the town you want to find. In the second case you enter latitude, longitude and radius for searching the closest locations.
LocationTool performs searches using a special DAT file with geographical data. After installing this software you will get only one such file, but you can easily download similar files from the developers’ home page. The application includes a good help section with detailed information about its performance. It has very low system requirements and doesn’t need a lot of space on your hard drive. LocationTool is a very exciting application that may be interesting for both children and their parents. |
